Local to Pittsburgh, Covet Collective is a small clothing company that specializes in sustainable staples and statement pieces.

After outgrowing Etsy, Covet Collective's inclusive, sustainable clothing brand decided they wanted to invest in their branding to take their products to market.

Their old logo included a heart and a safety pin. This imagery was important to them, as it spoke to both the love they put into their clothes but also the timeless nature of them, as safety pins are a standard of timeless design that has not changed for centuries.

But their old logo was too heavy, not consistent, and no longer reflected their clothing and marketing style. Together, we set out to create a modern brand that would last as long as their clothes.

Initial rough sketches, playing with the imagery of a safety pin and heart.

The final logo used a clean, simple, and stylized visual of an open safety pin — which resembles both the "v" in Covet and a heart. Hearts were also used as a decorative graphic and throughout the brand. The color palette uses bright, warm tones that reflect the heart and passion in their clothing, plus grounding, timeless colors lik navy and cream. With this style created, we moved forward with application of brand.

A pattern was illustrated to bring some texture and playfulness to the brand suite of assets. Stylized, textured swoops of color that mimic the logo mark.

Covet Collective's website and full rebrand is scheduled to launch the beginning of 2026.
